Dengue is a viral infection caused by the bite of female mosquito belonging to species Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. Dengue antibody IgG test indicates the secondary dengue infection and detects the presence of IgG antibodies produced by the body to fight the infection against the dengue virus. This results in decreased white blood cells and platelets count in the body.
